Friday Cocktail Hour: Citrus Forward- Blood Orange Martini

This is a simple cocktail that is dangerously refreshing. Use freshly squeezed blood oranges mixed with fresh lime and lemon juice for a tart cocktail that’s not too sweet. A clean tasting vodka and a splash of Cointreau are all you need to get the weekend started. Cheers!

Like last week, I used thesse very lady like Cambridge glasses for this martini.

If blood oranges are not available, almost any type of citrus will do. The juice from tangerines, tangelos, pink grapefruit or naval oranges will work beautifully. Try a splash of pomegranate juice in the cocktail for the desired dramatic color.

The tartness of blood oranges is so intense. Not much else is needed.
