Hi! I’m Meggen.
I am the owner of the speciality food product company- Wild Montana Foods. We manufacture small batch premium vanilla products as well as seasonal specialties like vinegars and shrubs. Based in Whitefish, Montana, use only local ingredients or fair trade products like Flathead lake honey crisp apples, Glacier Distilling Spirits, local raw honey from Babb Mt, Big Sky Honey Berries and maple syrup from family owned orchards.
Originally from Tangerine, Florida I have been cooking and entertaining for well over 40 years. My husband and I have lived in Northwest Montana since 2002 where you can find me at the Whitefish Farmer’s Market and various other markets throughout the year.
My recipes have won awards at the Flathead County Fair, Rural Montana Magazine and have been featured in the Whitefish Pilot’s Annual Recipe Cookbook and Abundant Montana.
I am the food writer for the Whitefish Pilot, the Daily Interlake and have been featured on several podcasts including Tom Douglas’ Hot Stove Society, Entertain with Confidence. Eat, Blog, Talk and the Forrager Podcast.
I have taken multiple fermenting courses and hold a Food Protection Manager Certification through the National Restaurant Association. Our commercial kitchen holds an A+ rating from the Flathead County Healthy Department.
