Party Spinach Dip…with a kick

I know what you’re thinking… Spinach Dip? Is she going to make a jello salad next?

Maybe- don’t be judgy.

My updated version of the classic “Vegetable soup mix” dip adds a punch of flavor by adding 2 heaping teaspoons of fresh horseradish and three spices including a bit of cayenne pepper. I also use fresh green onions, mayonnaise, sour cream and greek yogurt for an extra creamy and super tangy dip. Give my version a try and you will never eat that same old tired spinach dip again.

Enjoy!

Hot fresh horseradish gives this classic recipe TONS of flavor and a bit of heat.

Method- Prep time- 20 minutes.

  • Squeeze all of the water from the spinach through a fine mesh sieve. Set spinach into a large mixing bowl. “Fluff” the spinach with a fork. Add in the Knorr seasonings, green onions, horseradish, and remaining ingredients through salt.

  • Mix well until the seasonings and vegetables are well distributed throughout the dip.
    Cover and Chill.
  • Place dip in a serving bowl and dust with smoked paprika. Serve with tortilla chips.
A trio of mayo, sour cream AND Greek yogurt makes this dip extra creamy and extra tangy.
Spice Spice baby! Another trio: garlic powder, onion powder and cayenne pepper- Yeehaw! Spice!
