Ingredients

  • 1 bag of fresh pita bread
  • 1 can olive oil spray
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 2 tsp garlic powder
  • 2 tsp Kosher salt

Instructions

  • Pre-heat oven to 425 degrees.
  • In a small bowl, combine the seasonings (salt, cumin and garlic powder) and set aside. With kitchen shears or a sharp knife, slice the pita bread into triangles. Spread out half the sliced pita bread onto a rimmed baking sheet.
  • Generously coat the triangles with the olive oil spray. If you do not have olive oil spray, you can brush on olive oil with a pastry brush.
  • Liberally sprinkle the seasonings over the olive oil coated bread.
  • Bake at 425 degrees on the middle rack of the oven for 18-20 minutes until golden brown and crisp. Set aside to cool.
  • Repeat with remaining bread.
  • Chips stay fresh in an air tight container at room temperature for up to 7-8 days.
  • Serve with your favorite hummus or Tzatziki- see my recipe here.
